Named one of Esquire’s Top 25 Bars in the US (2022) and a Top 50 Restaurant by Portland Monthly (2022)
Takibi, meaning “bonfire” in Japanese, is an award-winning Japanese restaurant in Portland, Oregon, located inside Snow Peak’s U.S. headquarters at 2275 NW Flanders Street in the Northwest District. Awarded the 2025 Architecture Masterprize by Hospitality Interior Design Award and honored as one of Esquire’s Top 25 Bars in the U.S. and named a Top 50 Restaurant by Portland Monthly, Takibi blends traditional Japanese technique with a modern, fire-inspired approach that celebrates community and craftsmanship.
Founded by Snow Peak, a Japanese outdoor lifestyle brand with more than 60 years of heritage, Takibi is rooted in the belief that gathering around a fire restores the human spirit. That same philosophy shapes everything we do, from the way our food is prepared to how we welcome our guests.
By day, Takibi offers a refined yet comforting ramen lunch program, featuring Michelin-inspired broths, snow-aged noodles, and carefully sourced ingredients. It is a midday expression of our culinary philosophy, deeply crafted, quietly elegant, and meant to be savored.
By night, Takibi transforms into a chef-driven dining experience, offering wood-fired plates, sushi, sashimi, tempura, and a rotating Chef’s Choice Omakase or Vegan Omakase that reflects the season and the fire. Our beverage program includes one of Portland’s most extensive selections of Japanese sake, sourced from Niigata, alongside craft cocktails and thoughtful non-alcoholic options.
At Takibi, we invite you to reconnect over food inspired by the outdoors, crafted with intention, served with warmth, and designed to be shared.
